Fed: CASA tells pilot to fly but to listen for strange noises

A pilot says the Civil Aviation Safety Authority told her on Friday she was safe to
fly - but she should listen out for odd noises.

The woman, an Australian Democrats staff member who asked not to be named, rang CASA
after hearing about Mobil Oil's warning to pilots using its fuel not to fly.

The pilot says a technical specialist told her she could fly but she should monitor
the plane, a four-seater single-engine Grumman Traveller, on its trip for any funny sounds.

The pilot says they decided not to fly.
