GlobalMedia's Managing Director Selected as a Winner of Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur Of The Year Award.

Joel E. Barthelemy, Managing Director and Founder of GlobalMedia Group, has been named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of the Year 2011 in the Mountain Desert region that includes Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona.

According to a release, Barthelemy is now a finalist for the National Entrepreneur Of The Year 2011 Venture Capital Award of Excellence that will be announced at a November 12th event hosted by Jay Leno in Palm Springs. The overall national winner competes for the World Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in June 2012. The Mountain Desert regional honor includes lifetime membership in the Entrepreneur Of The Year Hall of Fame.

Ernst & Young reported that the awards are presented to entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Barthelemy started GlobalMedia as an Internet video camera company. Feedback from physicians led to the design of video products for telemedicine, including the TotalExam Examination Camera, the i8500 Series Mobile Video Cart, and CapSure Image Automation Software. Barthelemy credits listening and responding to customer need for the company's success.
